Wright & Ditson Special B V Handforged Putter w/Shaft Stamp
This antique golf club is a Wright & Ditson Special putter featuring a hand-forged iron head and a wooden hickory shaft. The face of the club head is finished with a punched-dot pattern. The back of the head contains several stamped marks, including the Wright & Ditson name within an oval logo, a bird trademark, and the text HAND FORGED, PUTTER, and BV. The wooden shaft is also stamped with the name WRIGHT & DITSON. The club is finished with a dark, wrapped leather grip. Please inspect the accompanying lot photos for a detailed condition report.
The iron head exhibits significant surface oxidation and a dark patina throughout. The wooden shaft shows minor surface wear. The leather grip is intact but shows fraying and wear at the edges consistent with age and use. 35"
