Wright and Ditson Bee-Line Hickory Shaft Putter with Beehive Logo
This antique golf putter is manufactured by Wright and Ditson as part of their Bee-Line model series. The club features a blade-style metal head and a traditional hickory wood shaft. The striking face of the head is decorated with horizontal scoring lines bounded by vertical borders and a central sweet spot featuring a circular arrangement of dot punches. The back of the club head bears several stamped marks, including the maker name Wright and Ditson in a cursive script, the model name BEE-LINE in block letters, and a trademark beehive icon. The top edge of the club head is marked with the number 16. The shaft is fitted with a black leather wrap grip that is secured at the lower end with black whipping.
The club displays wear and oxidation throughout the metal club head, resulting in a dark patina and surface pitting. The hickory shaft appears to be in good structural condition with no major splits visible. The leather grip is intact, showing typical smoothing and wear from handling.
