c1920's Sterling Silver Walter Hagen Lambert Bros. New York Jewelers Dot Punched Face Putter
Hallmarked with the precious metal 'Sterling' hallmark up the hosel is this version of a Walter Hagen putter that is far from a common find. 'I never wanted to be a millionaire, I just wanted to live like one," Hagen famously said and this Sterling Silver putter is a step in the right direction for the winning bidder to do that. Walter Hagen's facsimile signature is engraved towards the top edge of the face with 'Putter' in plain typeface just below. Just like a normal putter would have, this example carries dots on the strike zone section of the face. The Haig ended his career as the leader of modern majors with 11, end the auction with the winning bid of this century-old Sterling Silver flat-stick bearing the branding of The Haig. 33" from the top of the grip to the bottom of the heel.
