From the highly coveted travel advertising art sub-category is this captivating vintage color lithograph poster for the Caledonian Railway, promoting the Gleneagles golf courses in Scotland. The artwork features a stylized depiction of an osprey with outspread wings, rendered in a palette of ochre, tan, and cream, perched on a rock. In the background, a mountainous Scottish landscape is shown in shades of rust and brown under a hazy orange sky. The word Fore! is printed in a dark brown script at the top left, and Gleneagles is written in a large, matching script across the lower portion of the image.
