c.1917 Burke Endgrain Pat. 785212 Hammer Head Putter
With a brass sole plate, black fiber sightline and strong black filled Burke Endgrain Pat. 785212 stamp on the back of the head, this particular flatstick is an ideal example of the rather uncommon putter. Produced by Burke, there was an emphasis placed on the grooved face composed of oriented wood to provide the golfer with the most solid of impact. The 'hammer' head was listed in their product catalogs during WWI and even carries a faint 'ohio' stamp on the aforementioned soleplate. 35"
