1990 Masters Low Score Crystal Trophy Vase Won by Mike Donald for Opening Round Record 64

Though not a green jacket this prized award and similar ones for a hole-in-one, eagle or double eagle are presented for outstanding feats yearly during the Masters. They are cherished by players and known in short on the Tour as "Master's Crystal." For Mike Donald this prized Crystal Trophy Vase was earned with the low round among participants when he tied the tournament opening round record with a scorching hot 64 in 1990 - 50 years after Lloyd Mangrum first scored it. Eight birdies, no bogies, and a chip in, all in his first official round at Augusta National and The Masters. A signed letter of provenance from Mike Donald comes with this lot. 'Masters - Day's Low Score - Mike Donald - April 5, 1990' is engraved around bowl, with 'Steuben' hand engraved based. The uncommon accompaniment by both the original Steuben branded cloth drawstring bag and cardboard box are also offered in this lot.
