Walter Hagen Signed & Inscribed 'The Walter Hagen Story' 1st Edition Book

Walter Hagen (1892-1969), the first giant of American golf who captured 11 Majors and helped raise professional golf to never previously seen levels. The golfer's meticulously penned blue ink signature has been placed on the flyleaf of this hardcover first edition copy of 'The Walter Hagen Story' center cut with the inscription "To Bill Robinson, a real guy & pal. Golfingly, Walter Hagen. June 6th, 1956". Published in 1956 by Simon and Shuster of New York City, the 342-page tome was a memoir on his golfing career and an essay on the evolution of the professional golfer. The book shows some wear on the cover, but remains in good condition. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this autograph and their certification of its authenticity will come with this lot.

1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots that are active in extended bidding will close at the same time, and those with only ONE or NO BIDS will close at 9pm EST
