1914 Pittsburgh Field Club Golf Trophy Cup
Here is a beautiful two-handled golf trophy cup awarded at the iconic Pittsburgh Field Club in 1914. The Pittsburgh Field Club hosted the 1937 PGA Championship and is considered one of Pennsylvania’s finest private clubs. The trophy features a cone shaped bowl with a deep rich brown exterior and a yellow-toned interior with 2 angular handles. The cup rests on a flared, tiered silver-toned metal pedestal base. The front is engraved with the following inscription: PITTSBURGH FIELD CLUB, MATCH PLAY AGAINST PAR, PRESENTED BY R.E. MOORHEAD; WON BY M.K. GARRETT, AUG. 2ND 1914. No maker's marks or hallmarks are legible on the underside of the base. 9” x 9”
