1920’s Cobalt Blue 3-Lobe Glass Decanter with Sterling Silver Overlay Golf Decoration
This striking art deco three lobed cobalt blue glass decanter made by Duncan & Miller features a pinch-form body and a corresponding glass trefoil stopper. We believe this is model number 106 in the “D&M” line of fine products. The body is decorated with three sterling silver overlay golfers in three distinct poses: addressing the ball, mid-swing, and at the finish of a follow-through. These silver figures are set against an etched ground representing grass. The neck and rim are finished with a silver-toned metal collar. The stopper is constructed of the same cobalt glass and features a ground-glass peg for a secure fit. The base is smooth. The cobalt glass is in excellent condition with no cloudiness, nicks, chips or cracks. The overlays are stamped “Sterling” beneath each golfer. Typical age related signs of minor wear. Approximately 9.5” Tall.
