This original black and white silver gelatin press photograph was produced by the Underwood and Underwood news agency. The image features legendary golfer Bobby Jones alongside three other prominent golfers of the era, identified in the attached caption as the reputed four longest drivers in the world. From left to right, the golfers are Cyril Tolley (British Amateur champion), Bobby Jones (U.S. Amateur and Open champion), Francis Brown (former Hawaiian titlist), and Phillips Finlay (former interscholastic title holder). The photograph was taken at Pebble Beach, California, prior to the opening of the 1929 U.S. Amateur Golf Championship.
