This professionally graded cigarette card is part of the Homeland Events series issued by W.D. and H.O. Wills. The vertical card features a real photograph on the front showing a dense crowd of spectators watching a golfer on a green, with a caption printed along the right edge reading GOLF AT ST. ANDREWS. The reverse of the card is printed in black ink and features an arched decorative border at the top framing the text No. 45 HOMELAND EVENTS A SERIES OF FIFTY REAL PHOTOGRAPHS. The descriptive text provides a history of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club at St. Andrews and identifies the photograph as Bobby Jones putting on the 16th green during the final round of the Open Championship. The bottom of the card is printed with the manufacturer name W.D. and H.O. WILLS BRISTOL and LONDON. The card is encapsulated in a clear plastic slab from the Certified Guaranty Company. The blue and white identification label on the front features the CGC logo and text reading CERTIFIED GUARANTY COMPANY. It identifies the card as 1932 W.D. and H.O.
