1947 US Amateur Championship at Pebble Beach/Del Monte Program
Here we have a difficult program from the 1947 US Amateur on the scenic Monterey penninsula. Robert "Skee" Riegel won the tournament at Pebble Beach, beating Johnny Dawson, 2 and 1. Riegel played on the Walker Cup teams of 1947 and 1949 and finished in second place at the 1951 Masters to Ben Hogan.
