This lot consists of an official tournament program for the 23rd Los Angeles Open and a vintage black-and-white photograph. The 1949 program, titled Golf's Golden Tournament, covers the event held at the Riviera Country Club from January 7 through January 10. The front cover features a stylized illustration of a golfer putting toward an oversized golf ball, with a small inset portrait of Ben Hogan at the upper right. Interior contents include biographical thumbnail sketches of notable players of the era, specifically Ben Hogan, Lloyd Mangrum, Sam Snead, Ellsworth Vines, Cary Middlecoff, and E.J. Dutch Harrison. The reverse of the photograph is marked with a photographer credit stamp for John G. Hemmer of Pinehurst, North Carolina.
