1954 Los Angeles Open at Fox Hills CC Press Guide - Seldom Seen Publication
A press guide from a tournament in the 1950's is seldom seen, this is a great opportunity. Offered here is the informational booklet from the 1954 Los Angeles Open which remains in excellent condition with the money lists included. Fred Wampler fired a third round 66 to take the lead in the star studded field which had 24 of the top 30 money winners from the 1953 season in the field. Under adverse weather conditions for the final round, Wampler carded a 75, but managed to hold on for a one stroke win (his first on Tour).
