1955 US Open at The Olympic Club Official Program - Fleck Upsets Hogan in Playoff Winner
One of golf's greatest upsets occurred at the 1955 US Open at the Lake Course of the Olympic Club in San Francisco. Jack Fleck, a municipal course pro from Iowa, denied Ben Hogan his tenth Major championship and record fifth US Open by defeating him in an 18 hole playoff for his only career Major.
