1994 U.S. Open Championship Oakmont Country Club Gallery Ticket for June 20 Playoff Round
This is an original gallery ticket issued for the playoff round of the 1994 U.S. Open Championship, held at Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, Pennsylvania. The front of the ticket features a yellow and black plaid border surrounding a white center field. The tournament logo, depicting a squirrel with a golf ball, is positioned at the top with the text 1994 U.S. OPEN and OAKMONT. The ticket is labeled GALLERY and specifies the date as PLAYOFF JUNE 20, 1994. The serial number G06757 is printed in the lower right corner. The center of the ticket bears a hand-written inscription in black marker. The reverse side displays the original $50.00 purchase price, the United States Golf Association seal, standard legal disclaimers, and the printer name Globe Ticket & Label Co. This playoff round was a historic event in which Ernie Els won his first major title after a three-man competition against Loren Roberts and Colin Montgomerie.
