A Group of Official 2012 Masters Tournament Photography and Correspondence Addressed to Gary Player
This lot consists of official Masters Tournament items associated with three-time champion Gary Player, dating to July 2012. The first item is a color photograph depicting professional golfers Trevor Immelman, Gary Player, and Lee Westwood in their Augusta National green jackets. This image is mounted within a cream-colored mat featuring a gold-embossed Masters logo of a United States map with a flagstick. The photograph is secured to a brown cardboard backing with several pieces of white adhesive tape. The second item is a loose 5 by 7 inch color photograph of Gary Player and Lee Westwood in green jackets. The reverse of this photo is printed on Fujicolor Professional Paper and Fujicolor branding. It bears a black printed lab stamp reading LABSERVER1, Barry Koenig Photography and the alphanumeric code U-KOEN191010Z N-1MG_390D U-1. The third item is a letter on Augusta National Golf Club stationery dated July 19, 2012. The letterhead includes the names ROBERT TYRE JONES, JR. President in Perpetuity, CLIFFORD ROBERTS Chairman in Memoriam, WILLIAM W. JOHNSON Chairman Emeritus, and WILLIAM PORTER PAYNE Chairman. The letter is addressed Dear Gary, and pertains to the enclosure of Masters Club Dinner photographs taken during the week of the 2012 Masters. The document bears a black ink signature above the printed name Walton L. Johnson Senior Director Masters Tournament, with the notation ptb and Enclosures in the bottom left corner.
