An Assortment of Ryder Cup Memorabilia Including 1995 Opening Ceremony Program 1997 Valderrama Passes and 1999 Brookline Grounds Tickets
This collection of golf ephemera spans three Ryder Cup events from the 1990s. The 1995 Ryder Cup Matches material includes an opening ceremony program from Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, New York. The cover features the Ryder Cup trophy over an American flag and reads The 31st Ryder Cup Matches September 22-24, 1995. The interior text details performances by the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and the West Point Color Guard.
From the 1997 Ryder Cup at Valderrama, Spain, the collection includes two San Roque Golf Passes. The front of each pass is printed with SAN ROQUE GOLF PASS and 97 RYDER CUP BY JOHNNIE WALKER. The reverse sides are handwritten in black ink with the guest name ALAN FENTON, starting times of 09.30, and starting tees of 1ST and 10TH. Both passes retain their original red and yellow braided cord lanyards. Also included is a gold-colored plastic card from Banco Santander featuring 97 RYDER CUP and 5.000 pts on the front, with a list of past winners and venues on the reverse.
The 1999 Ryder Cup at The Country Club in Brookline is represented by a set of six daily grounds tickets. These tickets are color-coded by day: yellow for Tuesday, green for Wednesday, purple for Thursday, gray for Friday, red for Saturday, and blue for Sunday. Each ticket bears the text 33RD RYDER CUP MATCHES The Country Club and includes a circular blue T logo and a security hologram. The reverse of the tickets is stamped in blue ink RYDER CUP STATION BROOKLINE MA 02446. Accompanying these is a laminated GROUND TRANSPORTATION PASS for the same 1999 event, specifying Hotel Code: The Lenox BO08 and Coach Route: Lars Anderson 31, attached to a dark blue braided lanyard. The reverse of the transport pass features a logo for Check-In 99.
