Champ Tiger Woods' Signed 2005 The Lodge Torrey Pines Guest Registration Under Alias Buick Invitational
The World #1 Tiger Woods notched his third win at the Buick Invitational during his 2005 visit when he edged Tom Lehman and Luke Donald. Both of his nearest competitors attributed the win to Tiger's putting prowess. Lehman said, "He didn't hit every shot perfect, but he bailed himself out with his putter and his short game" while Donald added, "He holes more putts at Torrey Pines than he usually does, even when the greens aren't in that great of shape." On property bordering the course is The Lodge at Torrey Pines it was at this property that Tiger Woods would stay each time he competed at the Buick. The Hotel Manager at The Lodge from 2003 to 2009 was William Friese, our consignor (Please see photo of Mr. Friese and Tiger by plane, along with his letter of provenance on this and many other items from this time period in this auction). Through this relationship comes the actual signed (Tiger Woods) guest registration form which Tiger filled out in 2005.
