Claude Harmon Signed 1988 Letter w/ Sports Illustrated Content on Personal Letterhead - Top Sig Example! JSA ALOA
Here is a fantastic typed letter signed (TLS) from Claude Harmon (1916-1989), winner of the 1948 Masters Tournament and longtime head professional at Winged Foot Golf Club. The letter is dated June 17, 1988, and is typed on a single sheet of cream-colored-personal stationery with CLAUDE HARMON printed at the top. The correspondence is addressed to Mr. Mark F. Emerson, a notorious golf memorabilia collector, formerly of Columbus, Ohio. In the text, Harmon mentions that his son, Dick (professional golfer Dick Harmon), forwarded a Sports Illustrated cover for him to sign. Harmon applied a flawless ink autograph on this letter and, as many of you know, Harmon’s signature is extremely difficult to obtain.
