It would be at Augusta National that this vintage silver gelatin press photograph depicting professional golfer Jock Hutchison celebrating his victory at the inaugural PGA Seniors Championship would be taken in 1937. The image shows Hutchison in a patterned tweed sports coat holding the championship trophy at Augusta National Golf Club. The reverse of the photograph bears a typed paper news snipe secured with aged adhesive tape. The snipe reads AC 422500 WINS SENIORS PGA CROWN JOCK HUTCHISON, 54-YEAR-OLD PRO GOLFER OF CHICAGO, SHOWN WITH THE TROPHY EMBLEMATIC OF THE P. G. A. SENIORS CHAMPIONSHIP, WHICH HE WON, DEC. 2ND, AT THE AUGUSTA NATIONAL COURSE, AUGUSTA, GA, HUTCHISON TURNED IN A TOTAL OF 223 FOR THREE ROUNDS. CREDIT LINE (ACME) 12/4/37 (#1). A purple ink stamp on the verso reads REF. DEPT. 12 - 8 37 N. E. A. and a second partially obscured purple stamp reads SPORTS. Handwritten notations on the reverse include N E A, Hutch, and B3112.
