M. R. "Chick" Harbert Signed Letter-1954 PGA Champ (D-1992)

Chick Harbert was a top player on the tour in the 1940's and 50's notching seven PGA crowns over the years. Among those victories was his 1954 Major win at the PGA Championship. He was a Ryder Cupper in 1949 and again in 1955 when he was Playing-Captain of the United States team. In 1964, while serving as Executive Director of Golf for the Miami based General Development Co. he composed a one-page TLS of regret to a golf invitation. In closing he signs simply "Chick" in black ink, with both signature and letter presenting at near-mint This lot comes with a COA from James Spence (JSA) one of the leading authenticators in the business.
