Malcolm DeMille 2005 U.S. Open Pinehurst No. 2 Commemorative Money Clip
Commemorative two-tone golf money clip produced by Malcolm DeMille Inc. for the 2005 U.S. Open held at Pinehurst Resort and Country Club, Course No. 2. The front of the clip features a central, raised gold-tone figure of the iconic Putter Boy statue in a follow-through pose. This figure is set against a silver-tone circular medallion with a shield motif featuring stars and stripes. The outer circular border is inscribed with 2005 U.S. OPEN at the top and PINEHURST No. 2 at the bottom, separated by two stars. The reverse of the money clip is incised with PAT. PEND. and MALCOLM DEMILLE INC.
The item includes its original black velvet-covered presentation box. The interior lid of the box is stamped with a gold foil logo matching the design on the money clip. Also included is the original retail hangtag, which identifies the manufacturer as Malcolm DeMille Inc. and includes a label for PINEHURST. The back of the tag contains a barcode and the abbreviation NICK, indicating a nickel-plated finish.
