Mark O'Meara Signed 1998 The OPEN at Royal Birkdale Flag
Mark O'Meara captured the 1998 Open Championship and Claret Jug at Royal Birkdale in a playoff over Brian Watts after the pair were tied through 72 holes. Presented here is a yellow flag from The Open, in which O'Meara signed in his legible penmanship. 1998 was a career year for O'Meara as he won The Open after winning the Masters Tournament months prior. The then newest Champion Golfer of the Year's name was applied in robust black Sharpie. Please note that there is some label loss on the front which has been colored in, please see photos.
