Michael Roche Fine Pewter Golf Sculpture 'The Final Drive' on Marble & Wood Base
This fine pewter sculpture titled The Final Drive by Michael F. Roche for Roche Sculpture, based in Des Plaines, Illinois. The figural work depicts a vintage golfing scene with a golfer in full follow-through swing beside a caddy who holds a bag of clubs and shields his eyes to track the ball. This sculptural element is set upon a two-tier oval base comprised of a polished green marble slab and a finished light-toned wood pedestal with four black felt feet on the underside.
The front of the wooden base features a silver-tone metal plaque stamped with two lines of text reading 2005 AIHA / LOW GROSS. An inset circular metal medallion is located on the underside of the wooden base. The outer rim of the medallion is embossed with SPORTS CLASSICS AND LEGENDS and Handcrafted In The U.S.A. Finest Pewter In The World. The center of the medallion is embossed with THE FINAL DRIVE / Michael F. Roche / Roche Sculpture / DES PLAINES, IL. alongside a stylized R logo.
