It is hard to imagine that a better example of Olin Dutra's autograph exists. With his stylish penmanship, Dutra has placed his fountain pen autograph ("10" signature strength)big and bold on this 3X5. The big Spaniard beneath the signature has added the inscription, 1934 U.S. Open Champion. And what a champion he was coming from eight shots back to beat Gene Sarazen and claim the '34 Open contested at the Merion Cricket Club. For the 33-year-old it marked his second major having triumphed in the 1932 PGA Championship at Keller Golf Club in Maplewood, Minnesota.
In order to bid in extended bidding you must place a bid on the lot before 9pm on auction closing day.
