Three Volumes of Golf Literature by Francis Ouimet, J.H. Taylor, and Horace Hutchinson
A collection of three hardcover volumes focusing on the history and instructional techniques of golf.
The first volume is A Game of Golf: A Book of Reminiscence by Francis Ouimet. This work is bound in publisher's green cloth and includes the original pictorial dust jacket. The jacket features a golf course scene on the front panel and a sequence of six instructional photographs demonstrating a golf swing on the rear panel.
The second volume is Taylor on Golf: Impressions, Comments and Hints by J.H. Taylor, published in London by Hutchinson and Co. in 1902. Bound in green cloth, the title page notes that the work contains forty-eight illustrations almost entirely from photographs specially taken for the volume. This is an ex-library copy from the Bradford Library and Literary Society, bearing institutional stamps and handwritten call numbers 796.1 and 284 on the title page.
The third volume is Golf by Horace G. Hutchinson, a title from The Badminton Library series. It is bound in characteristic brown cloth with decorative black and gilt stamping on the front cover and spine.
