Tiger Woods Signed 1993 Honda Classic Official Used Scorecard
During an extended study break, the 17-year old Junior in High School (and up and coming amateur golfer) Eldrick "Tiger" Woods was presented a sponsor's exemption for a taste of "the show" during the 1993 Florida swing - finding himself in The Honda Classic field. It would be only his third PGA Tour tournament and first outside his home state of California, with the first two being the 1992 and 1993 Nissan LA Open and just a short 45-minute drive from his Anaheim home. This March 12, 1993 dated scorecard represents the earliest contestant card of Tiger Woods that we have seen! One in which carries the stamped "Contestant: Tiger Woods - Date: 3-12-93 - Round: 2 - Tee: 1 - Time: 8:55" and his second round score - signing yet to be refined '93 pencil name formation as his stamp of approval. A year before his first of three consecutive US Amateur Championship, few knew that the golfer with promise would flip the golf world on its head. Nearly 30 years have gone by since this scorecard was signed, and his name is still the most recognizable in golf. AUCTION CLOSING RULES:
Place your bids now as this auction will close LOT BY LOT beginning at 10:00pm EDT Sunday, April 10th. When placing your INITIAL bid in the auction, you must agree to the terms BEFORE confirming your bid. All items with multiple bidders in the auction will be eligible for the extended bidding period. Each lot will have its OWN COUNTDOWN CLOCK set for a 30-minute interval, and the clock will extend 30-minutes from the time of the most recently placed bid for that lot. If no bids are placed on that lot during a 30-minute period, the lot will close. Place your bids now!
1. You must place your initial bids BEFORE extended bidding begins to bid on the item in extended bidding
2. During extended bidding, you are allowed to bid only on items you PREVIOUSLY placed a bid on.
3. All lots with only ONE or NO BIDS will automatically close at 10pm EDT
4. All available lots will begin closing on a LOT BY LOT basis at 10pm EDT
