Tiger Woods Signed 1996 Las Vegas Inv. Poster w/Time-Period Signature - 1st Win! BAS #A86996
Tiger's first of a record 82 has a nice ring to it, but when Woods signed this 1996 Las Vegas Invitational poster just prior to play getting underway at TPC Summerlin for our consignor, then local pro Jean Tenhulzen, the victory was anything but a forgone conclusion. It turned into the 20-year-old Tiger Woods' professional golf coming out party, complete with a posed photo between two local Vegas Ballys' Jubilee dancers, to spectators and players alike. While the win came only a month and change after turning professional, Tiger's first victory was no easy task as the challenging course saw Woods and Davis Love III enter a sudden death playoff to determine the victor. Tenhulzen was smart to stop at the Woods signature and not add onto this poster with prime positioning up top, picking the winner and man that would change the sport. The highly colorful poster itself is tough item used for promotional purpses, in fact anything from Tiger's first win - the 1996 Las Vegas Invitational is a challenge to come down with. Here is a welcomed oversize 22" x 28" highly presentable Tiger Woods time-period black sharpie signed advertising poster unavailable to the public. This was mailed to a local course prior to the tournament in care of golf pro Tenhulzen by the Las Vegas Convention Center and likely one-of-a-kind!
