Two 1979 Ryder Cup Dinner Menus from The Greenbrier
Two original formal menus from the 1979 International Ryder Cup Matches held at The Greenbrier in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. The first item is a single-fold cream cardstock menu for the Welcoming Dinner dated September 13, 1979. The front cover features a circular color photograph of the Ryder Cup trophy in front of the resort and printed text identifying the event, date, and location. The interior left page lists the full team rosters for the American Team under Captain Billy Casper and the British-European Team under Captain John Jacobs. The rosters include notable players such as Seve Ballesteros, Nick Faldo, Tom Watson, and Lee Trevino. The interior right page details the menu served in Colonial Hall, featuring dishes such as Shrimpette and Crabmeat Louis and Broiled Filet of Shorthorn Steer. The second item is a Victory Dinner menu dated September 16, 1979, presented as a multi-page booklet with a heavy blue cardstock cover and a white decorative silk tassel. The cover features a diamond-shaped photograph of the trophy. The interior lists honored guests and the menu including Medallion of Michigan Veal Saddle Saute and Grand Marnier Souffle. The back cover is printed with a small blue central emblem depicting the Ryder Cup trophy flanked by the American flag and the Union Jack.

Each lot will get its own 30 minute clock, which will extend by 30 minutes any time that lot receives a bid during extended bidding.
