A set of six color lithographic prints titled Perils of Early Golf by artist Walter R. Duff, dated 1925. These illustrations were originally issued as premium items for Imperial Tobacco. The humorous series depicts prehistoric figures dressed in traditional Scottish highland attire, including kilts, sporrans, and tam o' shanters, playing golf in whimsical landscapes populated by various dinosaurs and extinct megafauna. The six specific scenes included are Crowding the Green, Silence at the Tee, Three up and two to go, The Water Hazard, The Lost Ball, and Grounding the Club. Each print bears the artist signature Walter R. Duff within the image plate. The bottom margins contain printed text identifying the series title, the plate number No. 11075, the individual scene title, and the notice COPYRIGHT 1925. The works are executed on cream-colored paper stock.
