William VanZandt Portrait of Julius Boros, Limited Edition Print, 1986
This limited edition lithograph, based on an original graphite drawing, depicts a realistic and detailed portrait of Julius Boros. The Hall of Famer, Boros, was a two-time U.S. Open champion. The subject is rendered with significant attention to facial texture and expression, shown in a three-quarter view with a downward gaze. The work is printed on off-white, textured archival paper. The piece features two pencil signatures by the artist: a cursive signature in the lower left that reads Wm. VanZandtand a stylized block signature in the lower right reading VANZANDT+ 86. It is hand-numbered 2/100 in pencil in the lower right corner.
The print is in Ex-Mt overall condition. Very minor handling wear is present at the sheet edges, but there are no visible tears, creases, or foxing. The verso is clean. 11" X 14"
