c. 1920's Dunlop Mesh Golf Ball Advertising Pocket Watch In Working Order - Swiss Made
Here we present a circa 1930’s Dunlop Pocket watch in mesh ball pattern. Stamped 'Dunlop 2' on front and rear hinged panels. It was crafted in Switzerland and works. Quite the time piece and ready for use. Stamped 'Metal Argente', Brev. - Reg. No. 703616. Inside the shell is a white dial with oversize Arabic numerals and three hands for the hour, minute and second timekeeping. Dunlop began manufacturing rubber golf balls in 1910 and introduced the Maxfli line in 1922. We previously offered a companion piece to this one, with the same maker and most of the same design components, in 2022 April achieving a robust $737 after 10 bids.
